Rylan Clark ‘honoured’ to be announced as first ever host of 2025 Metro Pride Awards
Rylan Clark has shared his ‘honour’ at being announced as the host of the 2025 Metro Pride Awards.
The TV icon will be taking on presenting duties at the star-studded event in London on 26 February, during LGBTQ+ History Month.
The awards ceremony will bring together the most influential and inspiring LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations to honour the extraordinary talent, resilience and passion that define the community, and will recognise individuals in the public eye who have achieved greatness in fields ranging from entertainment and activism to entrepreneurial success.
X Factor legend Rylan said: ‘It’s such an honour to be the host of the first ever Metro Pride Awards.
‘I can’t wait to be part of a night that celebrates the trailblazers, innovators and change makers in the LGBTQIA+ community. See you there!’
Richard Hartley-Parkinson, Executive Editor of Metro, added: ‘We’re thrilled to have Rylan as our host for the 2025 Metro Pride Awards.
‘Rylan has long been an icon within the LGBTQ+ community, using his platform to celebrate diversity and champion inclusivity.
‘His energy and enthusiasm are exactly what this incredible evening deserves, as we recognise the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations who continue to push for change and equality.’
The Metro Pride awards, headline sponsored by Legal & General, will also shine a spotlight on brands and organisations that have shown a proven commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and LGBTQ+ rights within their sectors.
The prestigious event is set to be a defining moment of the showbiz calendar as LGBTQ+ personalities and allies come together for a major evening of celebration.
As well as hosting the event, Rylan has been nominated for broadcaster of the year, alongside Jill Scott, Nick Grimshaw, Scott Mills, Mobeen Azhar, Alex Scott, Robert Rinder, Dean McCullough, Riyadh Khalaf and Sue Perkins.
Nominees for celebrity of the year include Bridgerton stars Nicola Coughlan and Jonathan Bailey, Russell Tovey, Luke Evans, RuPaul, Edward Enninful, Andrew Scott, Cara Delevingne, Ncuti Gatwa, Graham Norton.
